Household Pets
Taking your pet with you on the Airplane
Since 9/11 it has become more difficult to take your pet on the plane with you. Many commercial airlines that previously allowed you to “check” your pet now require that you be a “known shipper” (which individual passengers are not). And those that do still allow passengers to check their pets on have strict temperature guidelines in place to ensure the safety and welfare of your pet - which means that shipping during the summer-time is often prohibited.
We recommend that you contact the airline you will be flying to determine if you will, or will not, be allowed to bring you pet on your flight.
Horses and Livestock
Care
To achieve the best traveling conditions possible, the horses' vital signs are checked every 3-4 hours. Hay nets and water buckets are maintained throughout the trip. Electrolytes are provided if necessary. If a problem should occur, a vet is contacted at once. As soon as the horse is stabilized the owner is notified.
Pricing
Prices are determined by the stall selected by the customer (single, stall and a half, or a box), gender of the horse, geographic location, number of head shipped, and shipping schedule. Payment may be made with major credit cards, check or cash upon pick-up or delivery, or by invoice if prior credit arrangements have been made. Payment by invoice is due within 15 days after the date of invoice.
Fleet
Our partner’s fleet consists of state-of-the-art air ride, tractor-trailer vans for long-haul routes, charters and track moves. These vans are capable of transporting up to fifteen horses. Horses may be shipped in single stalls, stall and a half, or box stalls. Each van is well ventilated for proper air control. The horses are separated by individual partitions. Should mechanical problems arise during a trip, service or truck replacement by a national service company is available to insure minimal down time.
Fish and Aquatics
Sea life is perhaps the most difficult type of animal to transport. Various environmental concerns and support functions must be firmly in place in order to ensure the survival of these creatures while in transit. With twenty years of hands on experience and training in these types of moves, our partners have developed a strong background and base of knowledge to safely move the giants of the ocean, or the smallest of the fry in your tank at home.
Exotics
Large animals are a particular specialty of ours — one of our partners is the selected shipping company for the International Rhino Foundation and have moved specimens all over the world. Our staff addresses and takes care of even the most complex shipping and logistical details on these mammoth translocations.
